New to Zuriick

We have released our Spring shoes, well part of them. We're still awaiting the arrival of our vulcanized styles. The dress shoes and cement soled shoes are new to the line. They all look great and are very affordable considering the options out in the market. These styles run about a half size larger than our standard fit in the vulcanized shoes. MTV

These old skits of Jimmy the Cab Driver were one of my favorite commercials to watch when I was younger. This was before reality took over not only MTV but every other major cable channel, which I don't mind, I'm somewhat addicted to terrible TV shows. Another great MTV commercial is one with a dirty Punk blowing his nose and looks at his snot and says " I made an MTV logo, wanna see? WELL I DIDN'T WANNA SHOW YOU ANYWAY!" Classic. Here's Jimmy! Thanks to my brother Matt for reminding me that this existed.

The Drive Back

We just returned from Workroom in Vegas. It turned out to be a great show for us. Delicious Mexican food and free booze, can't beat that. We're back in the office awaiting the arrival of our Spring shoes. Keep your eyes peeled for new styles and colors coming out in the next few weeks.

I don't enjoy posting about other blogs, but Cay Broendum's blog Spare Time is one worthy of browsing. In his own words " Welcome to my SPARE TIME Blog. Ideas, inspiration, hand made and painted stuff, mixed with unuseful info and bad spelling. But who gives a shit about that anyway.... This is all about creating, having a good time doing it, and enjoying the cool factor that comes along with it."

His broken English is somewhat charming and I find myself looking at his blog daily hoping he's updated it with more great art/motorcycles/color palettes.

Danger: High Voltage

We love it here in Salt Lake, even when the inversion gets the best of us. Luckily we had some storms blow through and move it out of the valley for a few days. As you can see in the photo below, we're a small company. We work out of a 3500 square foot office/warehouse. We do all the shipping/receiving here with a teams of 5. We consider every order lucky to have, given all the options for footwear. We do our very best to make better products and give better service with each season. Happy New Year

We at Zuriick hope that all of you enjoyed your New Year celebration. We're very excited about the upcoming year. We are introducing some great new styles in 2010. They include the long awaited Madsen featuring a cement sole. We are also releasing our leather soled shoes, nice dress shoes with the Zuriick spin. Nice sleek, simple design. And of course we'll have all the wonderful vulcanized styles plus a few newbies to share with you this spring.

I spent my New Year's day practicing with an old band of mine called the Player Piano. We broke up a number of years ago and have all since moved on to become lawyers, designers and owner of a small island etc... The label we were on had their 10 year anniversary and asked if we'd play. So we all flew in to Phoenix, AZ practiced, drank some beer, ate burgers, played the show and flew home, all in 48 hours. Good times, thanks guys.

We're now all back to the daily grind, so to speak.

Zuriick would like to thank all of you that contributed to a great 2009 for our little shoe company. We're working hard on making Zuriick better, stronger and just an all around good company.
