I was visiting the East coast last week, here are few snap shots.

Black, Charcoal or Inversion. The Kettle Zip Boot is a great fall/winter replacement for those Akes you've been kicking around in for the last few months. They'll keep your ankles warmer, and keep the simplicity of the slip-on with it's inner zipper. We have them in three colors at the moment. Take a look.

when you have The Mammoth Men and a couple four wheelers. The dudes were back at it getting dirty in their Akes. We'll be releasing the winter line in the next week or so, keep your eyes open.

Alpha Beata Profiling

The Alpha Beata was introduced earlier this year as an alternative to the Beata. Offering a sleeker look, lower profile, more shapely toe and muted uppers with brighter details. This fall came the Alpha Beata in Maroon, with a gray mid-sole and nice blue eyelets. They look pretty great with jeans, as most shoes do, these just give you a little more "pizazz" without over-doing it.

Who goes to Bakersfield?

I do for one, but I also convinced a couple of my friends to go out with me and take our bikes for some fun in the sun. I go to Bakersfield a few times a year to visit family ( I grew up there ). We drank a fair amount of delicious beer, camped, and even were dumb enough to get tattooed at possibly the sketchiest tattoo shop I've ever stepped foot in ( we were drunk ). Here's a couple shots.

Alpha Beata - Wool Pen Stripe

The Alpha Beata was new to the line last season, with a lower profile than our standard Beata, we also changed the shape of the A.B. It has a slight point in the toe and an overall slimmer look to it. The Wool Pen Stripe is 100% wool upper, canvas lining, vulcanized sole.

Fall 2009 Online

We updated our store this morning with the new styles/colors. We're now offering 9.5 and 10.5 sizes beginning this season. We have added a few styles to our womens line, Kettle and Caldwell. There are three colors in Caldwell that will only be available online. We restocked some of our classic colorways as well.

The shipment has arrived.

Our fall/winter shipment came in on Friday. We spend a few hours unloading them in the afternoon heat. They will all be online soon and in your local stores by the first of next week.

So unoriginal

When we got into the shoe business we knew we wouldn't "reinvent" the shoe. We just wanted to make a shoe that was sleek, slim, non-branded. To do this, we use a single vulcanized process and differentiated our line using a purple sole. We've been seeing a few knock offs as of late. Which isn't completely horrible, I mean, if they can't come up with something original at all and resort to ripping off one of the smallest shoe companies out right now, I'll take it as a compliment. So, thanks dudes, but you're still not Zuriick. If you need some ideas for new shoes, give us a call or email us. Our contact info is here.

Most things I read or watch on the internet are hard to believe, but they still make me laugh my ass off.

Tube Tops

This morning I was getting dressed and put on a tee shirt from one of my favorite bands and remembered why it was that we started making our own tee shirts. Whether it's AA or NLA, after washing them a time or two I always end up wearing a tube top, or so it seems. Our tee's do not have a substantial amount of shrinkage after multiple washings (if any), they're made in the USA of 100% 40 singles cotton and best of all they're Zuriick. Printed or Blank, you'll be pleased with the fit and you'll never find yourself looking in the mirror and thinking " I can't f$&*ing wear this, my fur belly is showing."

ARCHIVES: Ake Ruby & Gold

We're taking you back to Sept '05 when we received our first "line" of shoes. I was looking through some old files on my hard drive and came across our first linesheet. Magenta can be intimidating for most men, however, once you throw them on, get them dirty, and grow a pair, you'll feel just fine in them. This photo is from our first linesheet, we loved the "Ruby and Gold" so much, that we brought it back.
